Citywide has a long standing reputation.. Our designer, Bert has been in the monument business for nearly 50 years. His grandfather and great grandfather were in the monument business starting 1869 in Germany. His father Joseph was in the business over 55 years in Cleveland, Ohio. His son is presently working in the business, making it the 6th generation of service. Bert began working with his father in 1964 (pictured in 1969 in front of one of his earliest monument designs) Bert and his father manufactured and erected many cemetery shrines, features, mausoleums and monuments for cemeteries in 15 states. Bert moved to Houston in 1978 and worked for Forest Park Memorials till 1982 after which he went independent and started contracting out his services to numerous companies in the Houston-Galveston SE Texas area.
